I urge you to support SB 234, the Clean Water, Healthy Forest reform bill.
80% of California's water originates in our forested areas. Currently, the
timber industry dominates the Board of Forestry which is responsible for
protecting our water and wildlife from destructive logging practices. We
need a Board that is balanced, has members with strong scientific
backgrounds and provides stringent conflict of interest provisions to ensure
that special interests are not allowed to damage and degrade our water
quality.
