Hattoy Award

Brandon Receives Hattoy Award

At the 2013 Sierra Club California Convention in San Luis Obispo Redwood Chapter Chair Victoria Brandon was honored to receive the Bob Hattoy Award, established in 2011 to recognize “an individual who has made a significant contribution to Sierra Club political activities in California.” Bob Hattoy, a witty and outspoken advocate for the environment and for AIDS research, was the Sierra Club Southern California Regional Representative from 1981 to 1992, and subsequently served in the U.S. Department of the Interior from 1993 to 1999, and the California Fish & Game Commission Board from 2002 until his death in 2007.

Brandon has been the Redwood Chapter political chair and a member of the California political committee since 2006, and is also a long-standing member of the Northern California Candidate Review Committee. She currently sits as one of the the nine volunteer members of the Club’s National Political Team.
