Sonoma Group Treasurer

Sonoma Group needs a responsible individual to handle the Sonoma Group's finances. Responsibilities include maintaining checking account, making regular written reports to the Executive Committee, and preparing the annual budget. Some financial experience is desired; support and training are also available.

 

Sonoma Group Political Committee Volunteers

Have you ever wondered how the Sierra Club decides to endorse candidates for public office? Here is your opportunity to find out, and join in this fascinating process! In this position, you will help prepare questionnaires and conduct interviews with political candidates for upcoming elections to determine Sierra Club endorsements.

 

Office Help

The responsibilities for this vital position include: staffing and keeping office open regular hours, answering phones and responding to phone messages, misc. office tasks and projects. Serious commitment desired with at least 3 regular hours a week.

 

Letter Writers for Redwood Chapter

Would you like to help, but don't especially like meetings? You can work in this position in the comfort of your own home. The Chapter is frequently asked to send comment letters on a variety of issues to various government agencies. Sierra Club California or National provides the necessary information in "talking points" and you can exercise your writing skills on behalf of your Chapter. It's easy! Do as much, or as little, as you like &endash; anything will help!

 

Holiday Fundraising Co-ordinator

This job involves promoting our annual Sierra Club calendar sales, and possibly organizing the selling of this year's Sierra Club Ornament. Help your local Sierra Club generate funds in this short term position.

 

Handy Helper

The Environmental Center has a variety of one-time only fix-it jobs available: hooking up a hot water heater (requires plumbing skills); attaching trim molding; etc. Give Tom (544-7651) a call if you can help.

Light Office Cleaning

This position does not require regular hours or duties. The Environmental Center needs tidying up, vacuuming, window cleaning, etc. whenever you have the whim. Come during any regular office hours, or call to arrange a suitable time.
