What is an email Alerts list?"
It is an announcement-only email list used to publicize events with short lead times and to alert members to rapidly developing conservation issues.

Who can subscribe?"
Anyone may subscribe to this list and receive messages, but only the editors of the list may post messages. An archive of all the messages posted to this list is available.

How often will I get messages?"
Message volume will be low (just a couple of messages per week).

What if I have a message I think important enough to post?"
Messages submitted to the list by non-editors will be forwarded for review and distribution.

Can I unsubscribe?"
Yes. You may unsubscribe at any time.

My name is Mary Smith. How do I subscribe?"
There are two ways to do this.

• You can e-mail your request to the Webmaster. Please include your name.
• You can send an email message to Listserv.
      To: listserv@lists.sierraclub.org
      Subject:
  A subject is not necessary. The subject line may be left blank.
  The message being sent should read:
       SUBSCRIBE REDWOOD-SONOMA-ALERTS Mary Smith
  You will receive an email message asking you to confirm that you want to sign up. Once you reply to that, you will be subscribed.
