Go to the Sierra Club Cool Cities website to find to see how cities and counties around the country, including Santa Rosa, are taking climate action. There are now 771 cities and counties signed up! And, find resources such as the Green Playbook promoting Green Buildings and Green Neighborhoods.

| Sonoma County has signed an ambitious Cool Communities pledge to reduce greenhouse gas
emissions 25% below 1990 levels by 2015, but a program to meet this goal is not even mentioned
in the ongoing General Plan Update. It's not too late to put such a program in the General
Plan - the Board of Supervisors needs to hear from residents how important this is to us.
